Metaphysical Powers of Gemstones

Gemstones have been treasured for their beauty, as well as their healing and protective powers throughout the millennium. The oldest grave ever found in Australia contained a fossilized body carbon dated to 5 million years old wearing a stone necklace!!

Volumes have been written on the curative and protective power of the gemstones. Stories, legends and myths passed from generation to generation . Throughout history gemstones have been used by psychics, mediums and healers.

Kings and Queens greatly prized gemstones, displaying them on their crowns and scepters. They were not just symbols of wealth, but also of power. There were instances where the person who wore the ring was the person who reigned! Mystical powers were attributed to being in possession of certain jewels.

In many cultures of our world today women and men wear their wealth in the form of jewelry. In Tibet the people wear their turquoise decorating their body as well as their clothing and bags. In India, gold and rubies and emeralds are worm to the market place, in Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli is worn in vast quantities.

I have been holding stones for the last 13 years and profound changes have occurred as a result. I do feel I have been healed, increased my sensitivity and compassion through working with and wearing gemstones.

This variety of quartz is found throughout the world. The purple color ranges from deep to pale. It is the presence of manganese in clear quartz that produces Amethyst. The best Amethyst comes from Uruguay, Siberia, India, Africa, and Colorado.

Amethyst is called the stone of spirituality and happiness. It is said to balance the energies of the intellect with the emotional and physical body.

Amethyst gives the wearer a calm feeling, it seems to sweet the mind and body clean of unproductive and murky vibrations. It is also that this stone promotes success in business affairs.

And last but not least this gemstone is associated with sobriety. It is used to promote and encourage anyone trying to find freedom from additive personalities (yours or those of others)...

Said to help heal conditions of: nervous system, heart, stomach teeth, digestive tract and teeth. Also useful in mental disorders and as a treatment for arthritis.

 

AMETRINE

A beautiful mixture of citrine and Amethyst, it is said to stimulate and stretch the limits of ones own consciousness. Expanding our awareness in a outward direction to include more and more of our world.

This is a member of the quartz family. Chalcedony includes in it's family agate, bloodstone, chrysophrase, flint, jasper, petrified wood, and carnelian, just to name a few.

Chalcedony is said to be the gemstone for balancing the energies mind, body, spirit and emotions. And can help the wearer alleviate hostility, anger and depression... And promotes generosity, higher consciousness and receptiveness to all the beauty that life has to offer us every day.

 

FOSSIL MAMMOTH IVORY
